King Edward VII and Albany Stakes headline Friday’s action
It’s day four at Royal Ascot and the excitement is far from over as the action heats up both on and off the track.
Today’s lineup promises a thrilling spectacle in Berkshire, with two prestigious Group 1 showdowns taking centre stage.
The Commonwealth Cup at 3:05pm and the Coronation Stakes at 4:20pm.
Each race comes with a hefty prize of £650,000, and after a wave of late withdrawals, clear frontrunners have emerged setting the stage for some edge of your seat finishes.
Also on the card are the Group 2 King Edward VII Stakes and the day’s opener, the Group 3 Albany Stakes, adding even more firepower to Friday’s bill.
But it's not just the races turning up the heat temperatures are expected to soar to a scorching 28°C by mid afternoon.
Racegoers are once again donning their finest millinery and summer wear while braving the blazing sunshine, making hydration and shade the day’s must have accessories.
The royal pageantry continues at Royal Ascot as the carriage list for day four has been revealed and it’s brimming with familiar faces and distinguished guests.
Leading the procession in the first carriage are King Charles and Queen Camilla, joined by The Lord and Lady Cavendish of Furness.
In the second carriage, Middle Eastern royalty meets British aristocracy, as Sheikh Hamad Bin Abdullah Al Thani rides alongside The Marchioness of Lansdowne and The Earl and Countess of Caledon.
The third carriage brings a notable mix of industry and racing excellence, featuring The Lord and Lady Bamford of JCB fame and legendary trainer Willie Mullins with his wife.
Wrapping up the procession, the fourth carriage includes theatrical royalty Lord and Lady Lloyd Webber, joined by The Rt. Hon. The Lord Benyon and Lady Benyon.
