Body language experts weighs in on Meghan Markle's reaction
A body language expert has analysed an interview between Meghan Markle and Emma Grede, co-founder of Skims, and claims that the Duchess of Sussex showed contempt for her friend Serena Williams' global success.
During the conversation, Meghan mentioned Serena Williams, saying, "My dear friend, Serena, as you know..." before Emma cut her off, praising Serena's entrepreneurial success.
The mother-of-two replied with her eyes closed, "Oh yeah." Body language expert Jesús Enrique Rosas claims that this response was "extremely condescending" and showed a "bit of contempt" in her smile.
He pointed out that the left corner of her mouth was pulling higher than the right, indicating negative emotions.
Despite the body language expert's claims, Meghan and Serena Williams have been close friends for over a decade. They met at the 2010 Super Bowl and have supported each other publicly.
Serena was the first person to appear on Meghan's Spotify podcast Archetypes and defended her in the controversy surrounding her Oprah Winfrey interview.
In recent months, the athlete attended Prince Harry's Netflix polo match and was seen giggling and gossiping with Meghan on the sidelines. The two friends have a strong bond, with Serena describing Meghan as a "selfless friend" who "teaches me every day what it means to be truly noble."
