King Charles has taken an important decision about his beloved Sandringham Estate after it was forced to shut down for the public last month due to an emergency.
The monarch has allowed the estate to open its doors to a breath-takingwoodland retreat for rent which is “steeped in royal history”.
According to a rental company, it was revealed that The Folly, which is a turreted retreat set in the estate’s private grounds, will be open for summer bookings, via Country Life. They noted that the announcement was only able to take place “at His Majesty’s pleasure”.
“We’ve always championed holidays that are a little out of the ordinary — with a portfolio full of heritage-rich and characterful homes, The Folly is a natural fit, Oliver Bell founder of his rental company said.
“This property isn’t just a place to stay — it’s an experience steeped in history, comfort, and quiet grandeur. We’re excited to open the doors to such a unique retreat, and can’t wait to see the stories that unfold here.”
Per its description, the property is surrounded by centuries-old woodland, and it can house up to six people with a minimum stay of three nights. Although, it does have a massive price tag starting from £3,000.
Last month, it was revealed that Sandringham estate had to temporarily close down for visitors after it experienced “an emergency plumbing issue”. The problem extended to The House, The Gardens, Sandringham Restaurant and Courtyard Facilities at Norfolk.
