Palace makes delightful announcement about King Charles, William, Kate
King Charles' office drops historic photos ahead of Garter Day's appearance
King Charles' office issued an important update about key royal members ahead of their appearance at the Garter Day procession.
On June 16, Buckingham Palace released a series of throwback photos, featuring Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Philip, Queen Mother and other senior royals, attending the event in full spirit.
The Palace spokesperson announced that Royal Family members will participate in today's annual Garter Day procession at Windsor Castle.
Fans are excited to see the King and Queen with Prince William and Princess Kate, especially since Catherine missed the event last year due to her battle with cancer.
In a statement shared on the royal family's official Instagram page, netizens were educated about the royal gathering.
"This event is one of the most traditional ceremonies in the Royal calendar. The King and the Knights process in grand velvet robes, glistening insignia and plumed hats within the grounds of Windsor Castle," the message reads.
"The Order of Garter was created nearly 700 years ago, in medieval times, by King Edward III."
"King Edward was so inspired by tales of King Arthur and the chivalry of the Knights of the Round Table that he set up his own group of honourable knights (The Order of the Garter!)"
Notably, on June 14, the royals reunited on the occasion of Trooping the Colour.
