Princess of Wales breaks Royal mould in Father’s Day post
George, Charlotte and Louis surprise 'papa' William with adorable Father's Day tribute
Kate Middleton broke from her cherished tradition this Father’s Day, handing the camera over to a trusted professional instead of stepping behind the lens herself.
Known for her heartfelt family portraits, the Princess of Wales has long made a name as the unofficial royal photographer delighting fans each year with intimate snapshots of her husband and children.
Last Father’s Day, her tender photo of Prince William with Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis left followers teary-eyed, hailed as “perfect” and deeply personal.
But this year, royal watchers noticed a shift. Rather than Kate, it was professional photographer Josh Shinner who captured the latest batch of adorable images posted by the Wales children in tribute to their "Papa."
The photos, shared across the family’s social media accounts, featured George, 11, Charlotte, 10, and Louis, 7, dressed in matching dusky green tones as they snuggled up to William in a picture-perfect moment of affection.
"Happy Father’s Day, Papa," the caption read. "We love you! G, C & L," marking the first time the children themselves had signed off a public post.
The photo accompanying the message captured a warm moment between Prince William and his trio of youngsters, and was quickly hailed by fans as "the sweetest thing ever."
Kensington Palace confirmed that the striking image was taken last May on the Norfolk coast by none other than Princess Kate, who is known for her skilled photography.
Royal watchers flooded the comment section with praise. "My leaky eyes are leaking again! Beautiful photo. Thank you," wrote one emotional fan.
