Princess Anne surprises fans with rare honour at Trooping the Colour
The Princess Royal made her first public ride since last year's horse related incident
Princess Anne surprised royal fans at this year's Trooping the Colour by receiving a rare ceremonial honour, marking a remarkable moment in her return to public life.
The Princess Royal made her first public ride since last year's horse related incident, taking on a prestigious role that added a special touch to the grand military parade.
At 74, the royal's return to horseback highlights her impressive recovery after being hospitalised with a concussion and head injuries following the incident.
Interestingly, the Princess Anne got the honour to rode Noble-the same horse King Charles rode during last year's Birthday Parade-and was seen alongside her brother Prince Edward and the Prince of Wales during the grand procession.
This year, the Princess carried the Gold Stick while fulfilling her role as Gold Stick-in-Waiting, a prestigious ceremonial post in the Royal Household.
Princess is dubbed as the most hardworking royal for her strong nerves as she resumed public duties just three weeks later still bearing a black eye and continued her royal commitments without delay.
Shortly, after her recovery, she also travelled to Paris to support Team GB at the 2024 Olympics, reinforcing her reputation for steadfast dedication to duty.
