Meghan Markle sets sights on hotels, restaurant business: Report
The Duchess of Sussex has reportedly filed to trademark her brand As Ever for 'hospitality services'
Meghan Markle is eyeing the most unexpected territories as she expands her empire.
According to a report by The Sun published June 8, the Duchess of Sussex has filed to trademark her lifestyle brand As Ever for “hospitality services,” covering restaurants, lodging, and “provision of food and drink.”
It’s a bold new direction for Meghan, 42, who has spent the past year reinventing herself as a lifestyle mogul.
Her signature touch is already all over As Ever — a brand described on its website as “a love language” inspired by her passion for cooking and entertaining. Similarly, Meghan previously said in her Netflix series With Love, Meghan, “When I have someone stay, one of my favourite things to do is prep the guest room.”
With a second season of her Netflix show already filmed and dropping this fall, Meghan’s move into hospitality appears perfectly timed. Experts say the hotel and restaurant space fits seamlessly with her curated image and could even include dishes she’s showcased on screen.
The timing of the reported trademark is also notable. It comes just as the Suits alum — who shares two children with Prince Harry — recently shared a stunning beach photo on Instagram as she teased a new project in the caption.
“So excited for all the good to come!” she wrote.
