Prince Harry and Meghan Markle seemingly went to great lengths to ensure that their two children were not spotted during their rare outing in California.
Earlier this week, Princess Lilibet marked her fourth birthday on June 4 and the Duchess of Sussex shared several tributes to her daughter on her Instagram handle in the days that followed.
On Friday, she shared that the Sussex family had special celebrations at Disneyland for the occasion. According to an insider, the couple had to roll out eye-watering sum to keep the children out of public eye.
“Celebrity guests are typically driven around by a personal tour guide backstage so they don’t have to go through the crowds in the park and [they get to] use cast member entrances backstage to enter the rides,” the source told Hello! magazine.
They added that the Sussexes would also have had the luxury of having the snacks brought to them by the tour guide and escorted anywhere they would want to go.
Referring to the family photo taken, where Prince Archie and Lilbet’s faces were hidden by heart emojis, the insider explained that it was taken from the was Walt [Disney’s] apartment balcony which is above the Pirates of the Caribbean ride.
“They would have been able to tour the apartment as well. And they probably had lunch either in Walt's apartment or in Club 33, which is a very exclusive Disney club,” they said.
The exclusive service would have made up a bill of 4k and $7k.
The outing also comes just weeks after Prince Harry had lost his security appeal for family’s protection in the UK. Following the turn of events, many experts pointed out that Meghan and Harry and are on the same page about how much of their children could be seen on social media.
