Prince Harry reacts to pregnant Meghan Markle's hospital dance
A new video shows the Duke and Duchess of Sussex dancing to 'Baby Mama' to induce labour
Prince Harry remembers all too well dancing with a heavily pregnant Meghan Markle in a maternity ward in 2021.
The Duke of Sussex had already shared the story behind the moment in his 2023 memoir Spare, but now, fans are seeing it for themselves.
The clip, posted by Meghan on Instagram on June 4, shows the couple dancing to the TikTok-viral Baby Mama song in a hospital room just before Princess Lilibet’s birth.
"Nothing but joy and love in that room," Harry, 40, wrote in Spare, recalling the playful moment. “We ate and ate and then did the Baby Mama dance around the hospital room.”
The video — posted as part of Lilibet’s fourth birthday tribute — shows Meghan, 43, lightly twerking while Harry, hoodie up, joins in.
The mom of two captioned the post, "Both of our children were a week past their due dates… so when spicy food, all that walking, and acupuncture didn't work, there was only one thing left to do!"
It’s not the first time the couple turned to alternative methods to get labour going. In Spare, Harry shared that they’d tried everything from acupuncture to bumpy car rides with Archie, now 6.
Meghan’s preference for holistic remedies goes even further. On her podcast Confessions of a Female Founder, she recently spoke about using adaptogens like mushrooms, admitting some people find it “a little psychedelic and super woo-woo.”
