Jesy Nelson gives birth to twin girls after months-long hospitalisation
The Little Mix singer welcomes twins with boyfriend Zion Foster earlier than their expected due date
Jesy Nelson is officially a mom… times two!
The former Little Mix singer shared via Instagram over the weekend that she and boyfriend Zion Foster welcomed twin daughters, Ocean and Story, on May 15.
The girls arrived earlier than expected at 31 weeks and 5 days, but Nelson says they’re “healthy and fighting strong.”
“It all happened so quickly, but we are so blessed that they are here with us,” the couple wrote in a joint post. “We’ve never felt more in love.”
The caption was accompanied by a sweet photo of the new parents cradling their newborns in a hospital room.
Their early arrival comes just weeks after Nelson, 33, underwent emergency surgery for a serious pregnancy complication. In March, she revealed that her twins were monochorionic diamniotic (MCDA) — meaning they shared a placenta, putting them at risk for twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome (TTTS).
“One baby might take all the nutrients... which — really awful to say — could lead to both babies dying,” she said in a candid update.
Doctors made the call to operate, and Nelson has since been sharing her recovery journey from the hospital.
“We feel so grateful and blessed that these little babies are still going strong,” she told fans in April.
The couple first announced the pregnancy in January with a playful “eating for 3” post. Now, baby Ocean Jade and Story Monroe are officially here!
