Princess Kate draws strength from her cancer battle to support patients
Princess Kate's own battle deepens her empathy for cancer patients
Princess Kate feels the pain of other cancer patients as she battled the disease herself.
The future Queen has been widely praised for her compassion and determination to improve the lives of those battling cancer, a year after publicly sharing her own diagnosis.
As part of her return, she accepted a significant new role-becoming Joint Patron of The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust alongside Prince William. Interestingly, it is the same hospital that played a crucial role in her private cancer treatment journey.
Reflecting on the Princess's involvement, Dame Cally Palmer, Chief Executive of The Royal Marsden, told The Mirror that her personal experience gave her a unique understanding of what patients go through.
'The Princess' support for the hospital stems form a deep empathy for those facing similar challenges.'
She further added, 'We are honoured that the Princess of Wales has joined the Prince of Wales in becoming Joint Patrons.'
For those unversed, earlier this year, the Princess announced she had entered remission and was ready to resume her royal duties.
