Angelina Jolie’s daughter Zahara Jolie-Pitt has recently decided to follow her mother in many aspects of her personal life.
A source spilled to In Touch Weekly that Zahara would like to embrace charity and equal rights from her mother.
However, she wanted to keep a distance from her father Brad Pitt as an insider revealed, “Zahara has totally shut Brad out, but that hasn’t stopped him loving her and wanting the very best for her.”
The source noted that Brad “is still massively proud of the young woman she’s become”.
Most of Angelina and Brad’s children gave their father “the cold shoulder” amid the decade-long divorce battle between him and the Maria actress, which had been settled this year.
The source opened up that it’s all pain for Brad in the wake of the abuse allegations seeing how he’s now cut off from his children, especially as Zahara wanted to follow her mother.
“He’s devastated that she’s turned her back on him,” continued an insider.
But the source mentioned that Brad “actually doesn’t blame Zahara because he believes she’s been manipulated by Angelina”.
The Troy star “is still holding onto the hope that things will get better with Zahara and with all his children, he’s never going to give up trying,” according to another insider.
“Right now, all he can do is watch from a distance, which is very hard, but as a parent, the pain is worth it to see his daughter shining so brightly,” added a source.
Meanwhile, the source pointed out that Angelina is “getting the credit for nurturing this side of Zahara and creating a young humanitarian”.
“And to be fair, she has done a lot to open doors for Zahara, she’s clearly the role model for her daughter and she’s darn proud,” said an insider.
