Colleen Hoover is reacting to the controversy surrounding the film adaptation of her novel It Ends With Us after posting a series of cryptic Instagram Stories.
The author, who recently took a break from social media, has deleted all posts about Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni from her account.
Sharing a carousel of videos on Tuesday, March 18, Hoover discussed her financial situation amid the ongoing legal battle of the two co-stars.
The 45-year-old explained in the video, “This may be either a new rock bottom for me or the best thing that’s ever come out of my brain.
“Look at this, I poured Diet Pepsi into my ice cubes, so that I will have the best Diet Pepsi I’ve ever had in my life.”
While sipping her Diet Pepsi, she further went on to add, “Just like every other Diet Pepsi I’ve ever had.”
Fans couldn’t wrap their heads around Hoover’s recent content, suggesting that the legal battle had taken a toll on her mental health.
Fellow author Amy Harmon jumped into Hoover’s rescue, penning, “Stop it with this garbage. She’s one of the best humans I know. She’s also funny and silly and this kind of post is totally on brand for her. Leave her alone.”
After Hoover's posts surfaced, Lively moved to dismiss Baldoni's multi-million dollar lawsuit, filing court documents Thursday, according to US Weekly.
