Queen Camilla wins praise for bold support of Gisele Pelicot

Queen Camilla has personally written to French rape survivor Gisele Pelicot, expressing her sentiments and admiration for her courage in speaking out.

The Queen was reportedly ‘deeply moved’ by Ms. Pelicot’s harrowing ordeal, which involved being drugged and assaulted by her ex-husband and other men over a nearly a decade.

Ms. Pelicot, who chose to waive her anonymity, played a crucial role in Avignon, France, led to the conviction of 50 men on charges of rape or other sexual offences, bringing global attention to the shocking case.

As a long-time advocate for victims of domestic and sexual violence, Camilla has consistently been vocal about women’s rights and push for change.

In a recent documentary, she reaffirmed her commitment to the cause, calling domestic abuse a heinous crime.

‘Camilla was tremendously affected by the Madame Pelicot case in France and that the lady’s extraordinary dignity and courage as she out herself in the public eye,’ a Palace source told NewsWeek.
