Gigi Hadid reveals how motherhood has changed her perspective on life

Gigi Hadid has recently explained how motherhood changed her perspective on life.

Speaking to Vogue, the supermodel offered insights into her relationship with her four-year-old daughter, Khai, whom she shares with ex Zayn Malik.

“For a lot of moms there’s this perfect image of what they’re supposed to be and how it needs to go,” said the 29-year-old.

However, Gigi revealed that after Khai came into her life, she learned one huge lesson from her daughter and that’s "be yourself".

“We grow together. You wake up and do your best and you realise it is enough, and there’s a beauty in not necessarily knowing exactly how that’s going to go,” she explained.

Gigi noted that it’s “a huge lesson that I needed. And probably one of the reasons that Khai came to me”.

“You can’t always be in control. You can’t always plan. You can look at an experience as the right or wrong time for anything, if that’s your perspective,” pointed out the model.

Now, Gigi mentioned she “just gives” herself the “grace and look” at how many things she’s handled.

“Step by step, I learned. I got through it,” remarked the model.

Elsewhere in the interview, Gigi opened up about her co-parenting experience with her former boyfriend,

“Zayn and I do our custody schedules months in advance… That doesn’t mean that it doesn’t change here and there, but we help each other out and have each other’s backs,” she told the outlet.
