Liam Payne, One Direction fans receive big news in major announcement
Zayn Malik, Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson make final decision on One Direction reunion after Liam Payne
Liam Payne will be honoured at the biggest night in British music with a deserving tribute as One Direction members made a huge decision.
According to The Sun, an insider revealed that BRITs approached Zayn Malik, Harry Styles, Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson to make a special appearance at the March 1 ceremony to pay tribute to their late friend.
Now, finally, the former bandmates have given their verdict on whether to appear at the awards show.
The source claimed that all four Night Changes singers have opted not to attend the award show, citing a key reason behind the major decision.
"It has been a really emotional time for the lads, and it was decided it would just be too much," the source explained. "They have grieved in private and don’t feel the need to do a big, showy tribute for the sake of it."
The insider emphasised that Harry, Niall, both 31, Zayn, 32, and Louis, 33, felt that a reunion would shift the focus from paying a befitting tribute to Liam, who tragically passed away on October 16, 2024, at the age of 31.
For the unversed, rumours of a One Direction reunion had sparked a buzz on social media, after TikTok rumours fueled speculation about a performance at London’s O2 Arena, leading fans to rush to buy tickets.
However, the music insider made it clear that no reunion is on the horizon.
