Ariana Grande, Cynthia Erivo share exclusive 'Wicked' BTS in 'hilarious' exchange
Ariana Grande, Cynthia Erivo prove their 'unbreakable' bond with hilarious 'Wicked' surprise
Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo have once again taken the internet by storm with their hilarious behind-the-scenes Wicked moments at Variety Q&A.
During an exclusive interview session with the outlet at the Directors Guild of America on Monday, February 10, the musical adaptation co-stars couldn’t help but share their memorable moments from filming as they recounted various instances about the sequel.
While the 31-year-old singer pulled off a strapless black gown as she arrived on stage, Cynthia sported a trendy black co-ord to stay true to her character in the film.
In the footage, Ariana laughingly spoke about filming Defying Gravity on set. She explained, “Long story short, we were filming Defying Gravity. And two things happened right before that shot.
“We had broken for lunch and for some reason that lunch had so many onions in it and Cynthia was like having a heart attack and also the steamer had burnt my butt cheek.
"So just know next time that you see the broom shot...”
In response to her chaotic statement, Cynthia quickly chimed in, adding, “I'm suffering through smelling so many onions', 'And my a*** cheek was burning.
“Next time you see that shot picture there was an ice pack in between takes and onions that she was suffering from. And that's our story.”
This comes on the heels of Grande’s ‘awkward’ explanation for her dramatic voice transformation as she showcased courage in the face of recent criticism surrounding her vocals.
