Meghan Markle receives major surprise as she is called on stage during Whistler event
Prince Harry seemingly left Meghan Markle in shock when he made an unexpected joke in front of a crowd of almost 1000 people.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex headed to Whistler to support athletes at the skeleton event’s debut.
Canadian singer Michael Bublé introduced Harry to the crowd after singing a riff of his song, Feeling Good.
“I know how difficult something like this is, so I wanted to make sure I did this right. Without the incredible effort of this young man, none of this would have happened, so please welcome my friend, Prince Harry,” Bublé said.
Harry went on stage and began by thanking his pal. “Well, thank God Michael Bublé sang. Can you imagine bringing him out here and him saying, ‘You know what? I didn’t come here to sing...’ Thank you for the introduction,” he quipped.
The Duke went onto thank Whistler’s mayor, Jack Crompton, and then turned his attention to the crowd and expressed gratitude for showing support to the “incredible athletes”.
Then in a surprising turn of events, Harry brought Meghan out on stage shocked her as he declared, “Now she’s going to sing!”
Caught genuinely by surprise, she burst into laughter and exclaimed, “No!” Then, she added, “Thank you, everybody. Have the best time!”
Meanwhile, Meghan also shared some behind the scenes after they came off stage.
In an Instagram video shared on her official page, Meghan is seen interacting with the Sway crooner, as he asks, “Are you going to sing?”
To that Meghan, squeals and laughs, “No, I’m not singing!” as the two share a hug.
