Taylor Swift's beau Travis Kelce to retire after Super Bowl 2025 defeat?

Pop star Taylor Swift’s boyfriend, Travis Kelce, might announce a major career-related decision after his Super Bowl 2025 defeat.

On Sunday, February 9, the Cruel Summer singer marked her attendance at the Ceasers Superdome to support the Kansas City Chiefs. However, the team suffered a 40-22 defeat at the hands of the Philadelphia Eagles.

After the team’s disappointing loss, Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes expressed uncertainty about Kelce’s future with the team.

When asked about the possibility of the NFL star returning next season, Mahomes, 29, told reporters, "Let Travis make that decision on his own."

"He's given so much to this team and the NFL," he continued, per People. "And he's been such a joy, not only for me to work with, but for people to watch."

"And he knows he still has a lot of football left in him," Brittany Mahomes’ husband said of the superstar tight end, citing that fans "can see it" because Kelce "always makes plays in the biggest moments."

Kelce and Mahomes appeared visibly defeated throughout the game as the Eagles extended their lead to double digits earlier than their team.

Following the tough loss, Kelce reportedly turned to his famous girlfriend for support. Several outlets, including Page Six, reported that he joined Swift, 35, in her suit after the game.

The NFL star had changed out of his uniform into the same '70s-style rust suit he wore earlier when he arrived at the NFL championship game.
