Kate opened up to 'Extra': “I had like a real moment when we were evacuated, and I didn’t know what was going on with our house and everything and I realised sports really is a comfort. It’s, like, the one thing that is just always consistent… It’s, like, my happy place like putting on '‘SportsCenter'.”
Kate has made it back home, but her brother Wyatt Russell and his family are still stuck waiting. with his wife Meredith Hagner and their little boys, Buddy and Boone, unable to return.
However, Kate didn’t hesitate to welcome them in, making sure they had a safe place to stay.
Meredith shares in that joint interview: “My house is still under ‘Do not drink.’”
Then she was asked if she's been able to back yet, she said: “No, but Kate has been really generous. She has a very, very, very lovely house in Palm Desert… She’s really open… She’s put me up.”
