'Twilight' star opens about impact of becoming a father: 'I never really met...'

Robert Pattinson, who welcomed a daughter last year, has unveiled how fatherhood has changed him as a person.

The Batman actor started dating American singer and songwriter Suki Waterhouse in 2018. They made their first public appearance in 2022 at the Dior Men’s Fall 2023.

The two became parents to a baby girl in March 2024.

Recently, in an interview, the 38-year-old admitted that becoming a father has impacted his life positively.

According to the actor, before embracing fatherhood he was a ‘hermit’. He never really met his neighbours.

"It opens up a huge world! I've been such a hermit — like, I never really met my neighbors before. And now because you're just constantly, like, in the playground all the time? I'm just hanging out with my neighbors”, the Harry Potter actor added.

Surprisingly, now Robert feels lovely going out to random people’s home just because they have a child of the same age.

He told GQ: "I can't actually believe it's happening to me, but like, having a barbecue on Sunday and saying like, ‘You, uh … you watch the game?’ I was like, this is dope. I love this.”

The Mickey 17 actor stated that he never really liked talking to friends about children until he became a parent himself.

But parenthood has somehow changed his entire viewpoint.
