Lily Allen seeks intensive trauma therapy following David Harbour split
David Harbour, Lily Allen tied the knot in 2020
Lily Allen has opened up about her mental health struggles following the collapse of her marriage with Stranger Things actor David Harbour.
The 30-year-old's psychological wellbeing reportedly took a sharp decline after returning from a holiday to their Brooklyn home last week.
According to the reports, Lily is seeking help at trauma treatment centre, costing £8,000 per week, after revealing that she was on the brink of a nervous breakdown.
This comes after the Smile vocalist parted ways with husband after discovering that he had been using the celebrity dating app Raya.
After settling her children back into their routine and taking them to school for the new term, Allen reportedly flew straight to the treatment centre a day earlier than planned. Describing herself as feeling "wobbly" and in need of escape, she opted for immediate help.
Sources close to Allen revealed that her return to the Brooklyn townhouse was particularly difficult, as she felt "triggered" by the thought of Harbour being with another woman in the city.
One insider stated, "It was very painful for Lily to return home. David used to be her saviour and now he’s a trigger for her."
For the unknown, Lily Allen is expected to spend some weeks at the treatment Centre before she fully recovers. She will participate in intensive therapy, including both group counselling and one-on-one sessions.
