Disney embraces New Year with a rare glimpse of Dean Fleischer Camp’s live-action Lilo & Stitch, prompting fans to go wild over the big news.
The media company took to its Instagram on December 31, 2024, to offer an insight into Disney’s upcoming project while calling 2025 a year full of surprises.
They wrote in the caption, “New year. New mayhem.
“#LiloAndStitch, coming to theaters May 23.”
Fans couldn’t stop swooning over the heartwarming news as they rushed to the comments section to add their reactions.
One fan commented, “Can’t wait for this”
Another chimed in, adding, “Here. For. This.”
While a third enthused, “Happy New Year!”
The synopsis of the film is as follows, “A live-action reimagining of Disney’s 2002 animated classic, Lilo & Stitch is the wildly funny and touching story of a lonely Hawaiian girl and the fugitive alien who helps to mend her broken family.”
Meanwhile, the star-studded cast of the highly-anticipated film include, Sydney Elizebeth Agudong, Billy Magnussen, Tia Carrere, Hannah Waddingham, Chris Sanders, Courtney B. Vance, Zach Galifianakis, and newcomer Maia Kealoha.
For the unversed the film is slated to premiere in theatres starting May 23, 2025.
