Jennifer Garner marks 'shocking' marriage milestone following Ben Affleck's split
Jennifer Garner celebrates marriage milestone is surprising update
Jennifer Garner marks major milestone following former husband Ben Affleck’s divorce.
The 13 Going On 30 icon, who shares three children with the Good Will Hunting star, took to her Instagram to celebrate her parents William and Patricia Garner’s 60th wedding anniversary.
Posting a photo of their marriage certificate, the actress wrote alongside the historic document, “Thank you, Mom and Dad, for getting married sixty years ago today.”
Jennifer, known for portraying the role of Elektra in the highly-acclaimed film, tied the knot twice but unfortunately her marriages ended in divorce.
She broke things off with the Scandal actor Scott Foley in 2003 after less than three years of marriage.
Citing irreconcilable differences in the paperwork, "If we lived where I was brought up [West Virginia], we would probably still be together."
Later on, the actress further went on to marry Ben Affleck in 2005 just ahead of their tenth wedding anniversary in 2015.
Describing her breakup with Affleck as a ‘difficult’ decision, she wrote at the time, "After much thought and careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to divorce.
"We go forward with love and friendship for one another and a commitment to co-parenting our children whose privacy we ask to be respected during this difficult time."
Despite their breakup, the two have remained on amicable terms and are often spotted together following Affleck’s fall-out with estranged wife Jennifer Lopez.
