Kate Cassidy celebrates her first New Year after Liam Payne’s tragic death
Liam Payne’s girlfriend, Kate Cassidy, began the New Year with someone special after her boyfrined died at 31.
The influencer stepped into 2025 with her close friends, family and her rescue dog, Nala, whom she and the former One Direction singer adopted together.
"New Year’s Eve won’t be a celebratory occasion but she’s got her nearest and dearest around her," a source told The Sun. "Nala is also a huge source of comfort. In many ways, she’s all Kate has left of Liam."
The Perfect hitmaker and Cassidy adopted the furry pal in hopes of building a "nice and loving family" together.
The late singer previously confessed his love for the pet dog saying, "I really love her."
Cassidy revealed that time that Nala had been abandoned by its previous owners so she and the Night Changes singer want to "give her a second chance and a better life."
The 25-year-old Internet personality’s somber New Year plans came to light after she paid heartfelt tribute to the Teardrops singer with two angle wings tattoo on her finger.
For the unversed, Payne was in a relationship with Cassidy before his tragic death at 31. He was previously in relationship with Danielle Peazer, Sofia Smith, Cheryl Cole and Maya Henry.
Payne passed away after falling from the third floor of the CasaSur Palermo Hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina on October 16.
