'The Beatles' biopic to star Joseph Quinn in the role of George Harrison
Paul Mescal to play Paul McCartney in the biopic
Stranger Things star Joseph Quinn has been reportedly taken on-board to play George Harrison in The Beatles biopic.
Previously, the news came out that Paul Mescal will be playing the role of Paul McCartney in the upcoming film. Meanwhile, there were no further details about the other cast members.
Recently, Deadline reported that some industry sources have claimed that the makers are considering Joseph to play the lead guitarist’s role in the film.
Previously in June, news surfaced that director Sam Mendes has chosen actors Harris Dickinson and Charlie Rowe to step into the shoes of John Lennon and Harrison respectively.
But there was no official confirmation made by the studio.
Where the Gladiator II director Ridley Scott confirmed the casting of Mescal in the forthcoming autobiography, the rock band’s OG Ringo Starr himself established that actor Barry Keoghan has been locked to play the drummer in the movie.
The Beatles biopic has been officially confirmed with Sony Pictures holding the full rights and approval for the music. The tentative release date is set for somewhere in 2027.
