Taylor Swift achieves major milestone soon after 'Eras Tour' finale
Taylor Swift hits her mark with another record-breaking success
Taylor Swift, who finally concluded her 21 month long grand Eras Tour on December 8th, has added another feather to her cap.
The Down Bad singer’s latest album, The Tortured Poets Department, has returned to number one spot on Billboard.
The boost came soon after the album’s deluxe Anthology version released on November 29th, which featured an impressive collection of four vinyls and two CD set.
Earlier in the year, the 14-time Grammy winner broke Whitney Houston’s 1987 record, becoming the first women to have her album at number one spot for the first 12 weeks.
As for now, The Tortured Poets Department has been ruling on number one spot for 16th non-consecutive week.
The record was released on April 19th, and a month later, Swift returned to her spectacular tour in Europe with seven new songs from the catalogue.
After updating her setlist and tour performances, Swift told her fans, “We started planning this surprise for you about eight or nine months ago and then when we got 'two months off' of the Eras Tour, we really didn’t take any time off at all.”
The album has also gained six nominations for 2025 Grammy Awards.
On Billboard music chart, Swift is followed by Kendrick Lamar's GNX, the Wicked soundtrack, The Party Never Ends by Juice WRLD, and Sabrina Carpenter's Short n' Sweet.
