Lana Del Rey reveals 'true' inspiration behind her marriage
Lana Del Rey is revealing the true inspiration behind her marriage.
The Summertime Sadness singer, who tied the knot with Airboat Tours captain Jeremy Dufrene on September 26, shared her stance on marriage as she quoted her friends Jack Atonoff and Margaret Qualley's high-profile romance.
Presenting Antonoff with an award at the Variety Hitmakers Brunch in Los Angeles on December 7, the songstress heaped on praises for the couple, who tied the knot in August 2023.
She said, “And most of all, I'm grateful for [Antonoff], for his example that he gave me in his marriage to Margaret.
“I saw the way he looked at her when he met her and he's a big reason why I waited so long to get married and why I met my amazing husband."
Lana openly shared her fear of being under "a singer's curse" when it comes to meeting an honest partner, a concern she had before meeting her husband.
Expressing gratitude for her longtime friend, she further went on to add, So Jack, thank you so much for maybe helping other people look at me in a way that is a little bit closer to how I perceived myself...Other than my managers, you really have turned my life around.
"You've just really made it feel like Hollywood can be glamorous still and you can still have a very rich home life, even when you get rich.”
On professional front, the 39-year-old is gearing up for her upcoming tenth studio album, The Right Person Will Stay, and her 2025 UK and Ireland tour.
