Mariah Carey and daughter share this one family ritual every year
Mariah Carey shared what holiday season holds for her family.
The 55-year-old musician revealed that she loves to carry this family tradition, as she talked to SiriusXM’s Holly for Christmas special.
"I like to cook during the holidays," said the Queen of Christmas.
"I make linguini with white clam sauce — my father's favourite recipe. I make it every year and sometimes my daughter Monroe helps me make it," she added.
Carey is a mom to 13-year-old twins Monroe and Moroccan whom she shares with ex-husband Nick Cannon.
"It's something I love doing," she added of her beloved ritual.
The Obsessed songstress is also gearing up to take over SiriusXM with her special holiday project called Mariah Mondays, on Monday, December 2nd, 9th, 16th and 23rd from 6 a.m. to midnight.
During the show, Carey will be "blending holiday classics with festive hits," according to a press release.
Fans will be treated with famous Christmas tunes including the ones by Carey herself, especially her forever hit All I Want for Christmas is You.
The Emotions singer also hinted at her plans for the next year, revealing that she has some exciting new music up her sleeve.
Other than working on new music, the star also has “exciting” updates regarding her book and scripted series.
However, she is keeping the big plans surprise for now, "So many things, but I don't want to go into it too far, because then everyone's gonna say, 'Why did you tell us this and it didn't happen?' "
