Palace greenlights King Charles’ major plans: ‘Very much full steam ahead’
King Charles aims to pick up on cancelled 2022 plans amid cancer recovery
King Charles is preparing for a significant trip as Palace prepares a schedule for the monarch’s engagements next year.
Previously, a report revealed that a major plan for the royal couple has been greenlit following the successful tour in Australia and Samoa amid the monarch’s cancer recovery.
Given how the King’s health responded during the gruelling long-haul travels, Palace aides are making ambitious plans for Charles to return to a “normal” working schedule, including international tours.
Sources now suggest that King Charles and Camilla will officially be making a visit to the Indian subcontinent as means to pick up where they left off in 2022.
“It’s hugely encouraging to be able to make such plans for the King and Queen given the year the monarch has had, but it’s very much full steam ahead,” an insider told The Mirror.
“A tour of the Indian subcontinent is in the offing, which will be of huge political and cultural significance for Britain on the world stage. The King and Queen are the perfect ambassadors at such a time.”
The report also stated that Foreign Official have been asked to discuss and draft proposals for tours of India, Pakistan and Bangladesh.
There has been no official announcement for the plans as of yet.
King Charles was expected to visit subcontinent countries for one of his visits before they were abruptly cancelled due to the death of his mother Queen Elizabeth.
