Prince William holds urgent meeting amid Queen Camilla health crisis

Prince William issued an important statement after Buckingham Palace announced that Queen Camilla halted her royal engagements due to her health condition.

For the unversed, the Prince of Wales is currently in Cape Town, South Africa for the Earthshot Prize Award.

The future King has been releasing interesting updates from his royal trip on social media.

Today, November 6, William shared that he held a meeting with the finalists of the Earthshot Prize 2024 at Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden.

Alongside delightful photos, the spokeperson of the Prince of Wales said, "An inspiring morning meeting the Earthshot Prize 2024 Finalists at Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden!"

It is important to note that William's message came after Buckingham Palace shared that Queen Camilla "is currently unwell with a chest infection, for which her doctors have advised a short period of rest."

The statement further reads, "With great regret, Her Majesty has therefore had to withdraw from her engagements for this week but she very much hopes to be recovered in time to attend this weekend’s Remembrance events as normal."

"She apologises to all those who may be inconvenienced or disappointed as a result."
