Travis Kelce enjoys 'Notting Hill' after meeting Julia Roberts—And he messes up

Travis Kelce recently shared that he watched Julia Roberts’ beloved rom-com Notting Hill following their memorable encounter at girlfriend Taylor Swift's concert in Dublin this past July. 

The 35-year-old NFL star and the iconic 56-year-old actress captured the attention of social media when they shared a warm and friendly conversation in a VIP box, complete with an affectionate embrace.

Feeling inspired by their meeting, Kelce decided to revisit Roberts’ 1999 classic alongside Hugh Grant. 

However, during a recent episode of his New Heights podcast with his brother Jason Kelce, he hilariously stumbled over the film’s title. 

"I like watching films with people that I’ve met and I know," he said. 

"I watched Hugh Grant in, um... oh, what’s... Julia Roberts... Nottingham Hill? I watched that one. I enjoyed it." 

Travis was quickly corrected by his brother Jason, 36, after his amusing mix-up with the title of the classic rom-com. 

"Did you? What’s it about?” Jason asked, prompting a flustered Travis to reply, “It’s about... see, this is why I’m not a good movie [person]!" He then proceeded to stumble through a brief summary of the film's plot.

Notting Hill stars Hugh Grant as bookstore owner William Thacker and Julia Roberts as his famous girlfriend Anna. 

Both actors received Golden Globe nominations for their performances, and the film has since become a rom-com classic, grossing over $360 million at the box office.

However, it was Travis's interaction with Julia at the Taylor Swift concert that really captured public attention. 

In a video circulating on social media, Roberts can be seen engaging in a lively conversation with the Kansas City Chiefs star, even grabbing onto his chest—an encounter one fan described as "weird."
