'Coldplay’s' Chris Martin puns about band’s ‘annoying’ music
'Viva La Vida', 'Fix You' and 'A Sky Full of Stars' are some of 'Coldplay’s' top-hits.
The co-founder of the rock band Coldplay, Chris Martin bandied jokes through calling the band ‘Older’ and how it ‘Frustrates’ a lot of people, while performing at an intimate SiriusXM concert.
The event was organized at the Music Hall of Williamsburg in Brooklyn, on Monday, October 7.
Conversing with his fans, the 47-year-old vocalist stated, "Thank you all for being here. I know some of you worked with Sirius. I know some of you helped pay for Sirius, but I know most of you just listened to Sirius and we're so grateful to see you. We're so grateful to see you."
"I know that's annoying for some of you. But once upon a time, even that song 'Viva La Vida' was new and everyone in the room was like, 'What the f*** is this? They got s*** already, and so, it is amazing that every new song we have lots of people say is terrible."
"And then 10 years later, it's a worldwide super classic smash. That's happened maybe three times. So, the other 76 songs were just terrible." said the father of two.
Chris's humorous statements about his own band led his fans engage to a greater extent, reported People.
Moreover, the famous boy band was also accompanied on stage by Nigerian singer, Ayra Starr, Palestinian-Chilean singer Elyanna and Argentine singer Tini, who lent their vocals to We Pray.
Chris Martin’s performance carried out as a post celebration of Coldplay's 10th studio album 'Moon Music', released on Friday, October 4.
