Johnny Depp returns as Captain Jack Sparrow

Johnny Depp delighted children at Donostia University Hospital in San Sebastián on Thursday by reprising his iconic role as Captain Jack Sparrow. 

The actor known for his portrayal of the beloved pirate in the Pirates of the Caribbean film series, brought joy and laughter to the young patients during his visit.

According to a statement from Osakidetza-Basque Health Service, Depp engaged with the children by chatting, playing, and sharing plenty of laughs. 

Staying true to his character, he remained in full Jack Sparrow mode throughout the visit, ensuring the magic of the moment wasn’t lost.

Heartwarming photos from the Pediatrics and Oncology ward captured Johnny posing with excited kids and gently cradling babies, showcasing his generous spirit. 

His visit comes as he promotes his directorial debut, Modi, at the San Sebastian Film Festival, further highlighting his commitment to spreading joy amid his professional endeavors.

A statement from Osakidetza-Basque Health Service revealed, "They have shared laughs and anecdotes, helping them forget, if only for a few minutes, the difficulties they are going through at the moment."

The hospital expressed deep gratitude, stating, "It was a gift that brought joy to patients, families, nursing professionals, doctors, and all the staff working on the ward." 

Depp's energy and kindness were described as a "breath of fresh air" for everyone present.
