Dr. Kate Tomas, Andrew Garfield’s romance blast’s people’s ‘misogynistic’ perception of their relationship
Andrew Garfield’s girlfriend, Dr. Kate Tomas slammed the public’s “misogynistic nature” of interest in her relationship with the actor.
“It’s frustrating that no matter how accomplished or impactful a woman is, it’s always going to be more interesting if they are in a relationship with a man,” Tomas said in an interview with the Sunday Times.
“I don’t want to sit under anybody’s shadow.”
Tomas, who claims herself to be a “professional witch” and “spiritual mentor” and has been divorced four times in the past, talked about the public analysis she goes through while dating the Oscar nominee.
“They [the paparazzi] will take maybe 150 pictures, then they choose the four where you look worst,” the 42-year-old said.
She further revealed on her podcast The Friday Emails, how other women have been particularly harsh online, as per the outlet.
“F–king hell, nothing could prepare me for having literally thousands of women telling me I’m ugly, I’m unattractive, I’m less than in every conceivable way,” she said.
Garfield, 40, confirmed his romance with Tomas in April, when the couple was seen hand-in-hand while on a double date with Phoebe Bridgers and Bo Burnham in Malibu, Calif.
