Martin Kemp's awkward DJ set leaves premiere audience speechless

Martin Kemp, renowned for his role in Spandau Ballet and currently touring with his Back To The 80s show, faced an unexpected reception at the London premiere of Deadpool and Wolverine on Thursday. 

The 62-year-old star took to the DJ decks, spinning classic hits such as The Blockheads' Hit Me With Your Rhythm and The Eurythmics' Sweet Dreams (Are Made Of This). 

However, despite his energetic efforts to engage the crowd, the atmosphere turned awkwardly silent when he urged the audience to join in singing along.

Known for his charisma on stage, the former EastEnders actor passionately tried to amp up the premiere-goers, shouting encouragement into the microphone and gesturing animatedly. 

Kemp's Back To The 80s tour promises a nostalgic journey through the decade's greatest hits, but his recent DJ set sparked a different kind of buzz among attendees.

Kemp has expressed his deep-seated desire to start a family, citing his parents Martin Kemp and Shirlie Holliman as inspiring role models. 

The presenter, known for his warmth on screen alongside his father in shows like Celebrity Gogglebox and Martin & Roman's Weekend Best!, recently shared his fears regarding potential infertility.

In an interview with Heat magazine, he discussed his apprehensions about not being able to have children, revealing that he underwent a sperm check at the age of 30 out of concern. 

Reflecting on his family-oriented upbringing, Roman emphasized the profound influence of his parents, stating, "I love my mum and dad... I'm so grateful for the life that I've been able to have."

Roman's sentiments underscore his deep-rooted desire for parenthood and the importance of family in his life. 

His openness about fertility concerns has resonated with many, highlighting a personal journey that reflects both vulnerability and hope for the future.
