Céline Dion has recently reflected on her life with her three sons while suffering from Stiff-Person Syndrome.
Speaking to PEOPLE, Dion revealed she’s going to battle with rare autoimmune and neurological disorder for the sake of her three sons.
“I barely could walk at one point, and I was missing very much living. My kids started to notice. I was like, 'Okay, they already lost a parent. I don't want them to be scared,’” said the 56-year-old.
Dion, who talked about her journey in a Prime Video documentary I Am: Celine Dion, told the outlet, “I let them know, ‘You lost your dad, [but] mom has a condition and it's different. I'm not going to die. It's something that I'm going to learn to live with.”
Dion was diagnosed with Stiff-Person syndrome and six years after her husband, René Angélil, died from throat cancer.
The songstress explained how hard she’s been working to get back to the stage in the upcoming movie’s trailer.
“I miss it so much. The people, I miss them,” stated Dion, who received a standing ovation at the Grammys in February when she made a surprise appearance to present Taylor Swift the Album of the Year award.
She added, “If I can't run, I'll walk. If I can't walk, I'll crawl ... I won't stop.”
