‘General Hospital’ star Johnny Wactor was supposed to be dead because of being shot
Johnny Wactor, the General Hospital actor’s cause of death has been revealed.
According to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner, the actor was killed because of a gunshot wound to the chest.
His death has been classified in the category of homicide.
Wactor was shot early on Saturday, May 25, in Los Angeles when he resisted three robbers with guns who were attempting to take his car's catalytic converter.
The LAPD has requested the public's assistance in providing tips after the suspects fled the site.
The Los Angeles Police Department said in a May 28 news release, based on witness statements, that Wactor had ended his shift as a bartender at a local bar and was walking to his vehicle when “he was confronted by three individuals who had Wactor’s vehicle raised up with a floor jack and were in the process of stealing the catalytic converter.”
“Without provocation, the victim was shot by one of the individuals,” police said.
“The three suspects involved were wearing all dark clothing and driving a dark-colored sedan. The suspects fled northbound on Hope Street. Central Bureau Homicide is investigating this case and is requesting the public’s help.”
