Cher plans to enlist much-younger beau Alexander Edwards for new music
Cher and Alexander engaged in some PDA recently while walking the red carpet of the amfAR Gala
Cher wants to join forces with her boyfriend, Alexander “AE” Edwards for her next career move.
The Goddess of Pop – who celebrated her 78th birthday earlier this week – recently attended the Cannes Film Festival’s amfAR Gala with Alexander, 38. That’s when she gave an exciting update about her plans for new music.
“He and I are gonna start a new album,” shared Cher on the red carpet via Daily Mail.
The Believe hitmaker clarified that though they have yet to start on the new project, she is excited to have it produced by Alexander, who is an executive at Universal Music Group.
Cher has been plotting a collaboration with Alexander – whom she started dating in late 2022 – since last year.
“Some of the songs Alexander gave me, so I’m pretty excited about that. He’s a producer and a writer and he does everything, so I’m happy about that. I think like any artist, when you’ve got something good, you’re excited,” she shared.
At the amfAR red carpet, the star-crossed lovers shared a smooch while posing together. They were both dressed to impress in coordinated black outfits – her in a figure-hugging black gown with a luxurious fur coat, and him in a sharp suit over a crisp-white shirt.
