Prince Harry disappointed his cancer-stricken father King Charles with his interview during Canada trip as the Monarch prefers privacy while meeting his son.
In conversation with The Mirror, royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams claimed that the Duke of Sussex upset the King by sharing his personal details of their reunion following Charles's cancer diagnosis.
He said, "King did not appreciate Harry's interview on Good Morning America, after they met in February, when he learnt of his father's diagnosis and when he talked of family unity."
For the unversed, Harry made surprising comments about his family despite their differences. He said, "I love my family. The fact I was able to get on a plane and go and see him and spend anytime with him? I'm grateful to that."
Speaking about the father-son duo's future relationship, Richard stated, "If Harry would come to Britain privately, arranging a meeting beforehand, I am sure his father would see him."
The royal expert's comments came after Charles cancelled his meeting with Harry during the Duke's trip to the UK for the Invictus Games 10th anniversary.
At that time, Harry's spokesperson addressed the meeting speculations and said, "It, unfortunately, will not be possible due to His Majesty’s full programme. The Duke of course is understanding of his father’s diary of commitments and various other priorities and hopes to see him soon."
