Meghan Markle makes big sacrifice for Prince Harry
The Duchess of Sussex does not want to 'overshadow' Prince Harry's Invictus Games event in the UK
Meghan Markle makes a big sacrifice for Prince Harry as she reportedly has decided not to 'overshadow' the Invictus Games event by visiting the UK.
For the unversed, the Duke of Sussex will attend the Invictus Games event in London on May 8 to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the multi-sport festival.
However, as per the reports, the Duchess of Sussex is skipping the much-awaited trip in order to make her better half shine in the headlines.
Now, PR expert Lynn Carratt dubbed Meghan's decision 'wise' during her conversation with The Mirror.
The PR guru shared, "This event is one of Harry's greatest accomplishments, that he was already involved in before meeting Meghan."
She explained, "If Megan were to return to the UK, the press coverage of the Invictus Games service would likely be overshadowed by her presence, which neither Harry nor Meghan would want."
Moreover, Lynn also pointed out the negative image of Meghan in the eyes of royalists which might led her to drop the plans to visit London.
"Additionally, there is some hostility towards Meghan in the UK, and it's understandable that she wouldn't want to subject herself to negative press or public reception," the expert stated.
