A 21-year-old Indian youth, Shivam Kumar, died after his Instagram stunt to create a viral reel went wrong in the country's Uttar Pradesh state.
The shocking incident took place when Kumar hung upside down from a flag post on the roof of a school. The 21-year-old wanted to raise a flag on the pole while hanging upside down but the stunt turned fatal as the pole, he was hanging with, suddenly collapsed leading to his death.
On Thursday evening, Kumar reached at a Junior High School in Khairada village in Janpad Banda, where his friends were eagerly waiting for him, NDTV reported.
Without knowing that it was Kumar’s last Instagram stunt, the trio climbed the school’s rooftop. Kumar hung upside down from the flag post as his friends were recording his video. The pole suddenly fell and he got crushed beneath it. He died on the spot.
The police, however, said that no formal complaint has been lodged by his family in this regard so far.
