Jennifer Lopez faces major career setback: 'She is devastated'
Jennifer Lopez feels 'humiliated' as her new projects left fans unimpressed
Jennifer Lopez is reportedly devastated as her much-awaited album, This Is Me … Now, did not perform well on the music charts.
The multi-talented artist, who spent millions in the making of her album, failed to rule on the Billboard 200 chart.
It is pertinent to mention here that Lopez detailed the highs and lows of her romantic relationship with her husband Ben Affleck in her album, its companion film This Is Me… Now: A Love Story, and a documentary, The Greatest Love Story Never Told.
Despite putting her heart and soul into her new projects, In Touch Weekly claimed that the On The Floor singer's album "debuted at No. 38 and quickly dropped off of the Billboard 200 Chart soon after its release."
An insider shared, "J. Lo’s devastated the album, her first in nearly a decade, did so poorly. She’s never experienced this kind of failure. It’s humiliating."
While analysing the reason behind Lopez's career setback, publicist Rob Shuter told The New York Post that her fans are more interested in "Bennifer anymore."
He added, "Jennifer’s always been a marketing and PR genius but her biggest miscalculation here is that she thinks the world is still interested in Ben and Jennifer’s love story."
