Priscilla Presley misses ‘sweet and so loving’ gift from Elvis Presley
Priscilla Presley opened up on missing gift Elvis Presley gave when she ‘came to Memphis to stay’
Priscilla Presley can’t seem to get over a present Elvis Presley gifted her back in the days.
Presley, 78, shared a throwback picture on social media Monday, which showed her teen-aged self and a furry pup from the time when she was with the legendary singer,
“Elvis told me he had a surprise for me when I came to Memphis to stay,” she explained in the post.
“He presented me with a darling little Poodle that I name Honey. He was very sweet and so loving,” she detailed about the white curly-haired dog in the black and white photo who became a friend at all times.
She wrote in the caption that the canine “followed me everywhere. He also travelled with me.”
She also revealed the time of the picture, which had been taken as the couple “just landed in Memphis from LA. Little did I know a photographer was at the Memphis airport and took the photo as I left the plane."
Elvis and Priscilla got married in 1967 in Las Vegas and gave birth to daughter Lisa Marie nine months later.
The couple got divorced in 1973, but the Dallas actress claimed that they always remained close.
“It didn’t mar our relationship; we still remained very, very close. And of course, we had our daughter, and I made sure that he saw her all the time. It was like we never left each other.”
