Emily Blunt on working with Cillian Murphy in Christopher Nolan directed movie
Emily Blunt has recently revealed what fascinated her about her Oppenheimer co-star Cillian Murphy.
“There is a reverence that you are so deserving of,” said the 40-year-old in an exclusive interview with PEOPLE at the 96th Oscar Nominees Luncheon in California earlier this week.
Emily continued, “And you are, like, the quietest conductor of this whole thing. You don't mean to be — it's not in your nature to want to lead.”
However, the Devil Wears Prada actress stated, “I think that there's something just captivating about you, whether you like it or not, that people are spellbound by.”
“And it is. As much as you like to say, 'This is all of [director] Chris Nolan,' why people are so captivated by this film, but it's you,” added Emily.
Reportedly, Cillian is nominated at the upcoming Academy Awards for the first time, in the Best Actor category, for his role as J. Robert Oppenheimer in the movie.
Emily, on the other hand, is nominated for Best Supporting Actress for her performance as Cillian character’s wife Kitty Oppenheimer.
Meanwhile, Oppenheimer is now streaming on Peacock.
