The ability for Android users to make audio and video conversations straight from the app is being rolled out by Elon Musk's X.

Android users will be able to utilise the functionality following an app update, per a post written by one of the X engineers working on the project. "Today, Android users may gradually experience audio and video conversations on X! "Update your app and give your mum a call," Enrique, an X engineer, said on Friday, according to Hans India.

"Audio and video calls on X slowly rolling out for Android users today! update your app and call your mother," X engineer Enrique posted on Friday.

But only premium users will have access to this function. Go to Settings > Privacy and Safety > Direct Messages to allow or disable audio and video calling. From there, customers can choose from three groups of people—those in their address book, those they follow, and verified users—who can call them. These choices allow users to select more than one option.

For verified organisations, X introduced a new basic paid tier earlier this month. This tier is now accessible for $200 per month or $2,000 per year. Instead of paying $1,000 a month for "full access," certified companies can now get a gold check-mark badge and a few other features at the basic tier for $200.

“Designed for smaller businesses, subscribers receive ad credits and priority support to enable faster growth on X,” the company posted.
