LeBron James's son Bronny stuns fans with jaw-dropping alley-oop dunk against California
LeBron James wasn't in attendance but cheered for his son on social media as fans drew comparisons
Bronny James, son of Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James, is making quite the name for himself in his first college basketball season at the University of Southern California (USC).
During Wednesday night's game against California, USC's freshman guard Isaiah Collier stole the ball and passed it to James for an impressive alley-oop dunk, much to the delight of the home crowd, SI reported.
Although LeBron James wasn't in attendance, he cheered for his son on social media, while fans couldn't help but draw comparisons between the father and son.
LeBron shared a post about his son's ally-oop dunk on his Instagram story, writing: "THIS BRONNY OOP."
Many took to social media to share their excitement over Bronny's promising start to his collegiate career.
However, unfortunately for LeBron, the Lakers lost 110-96 in Wednesday's game against the Miami Heat.
The 39-year-old basketball pro, whose performance appeared to be hampered by a non-COVID illness, logged 12 points (6-18 FG, 0-6 3Pt), six rebounds and nine assists over 38 minutes.
The Lakers will remain in Los Angeles and face the Grizzlies at home on Friday, so James will have time to rest up and get past the illness.
Moreover, with Collier and James already showing great chemistry on the court, it's clear that this duo is one to watch in the coming years.
The 19-year-old basketball player has recently made his comeback.
He returned to the game after recovering from a cardiac arrest which led to his congenital heart defect diagnosis that left fans concerned.
