Nikki Reed embraces home birth to welcome her 2nd child with Ian Somerhalder

Actress Nikki Reed, known for her role in the "Twilight" series, has joyfully announced the arrival of her second child with Ian Somerhalder. The couple welcomed a baby boy "a few weeks ago" in a serene and intimate home birth.

Reed, who is 35 years old, shared a glimpse of her home birth experience through Instagram Stories on Thursday, expressing that it was "one of the most beautiful days of [her] life." She expressed gratitude towards her midwife and added, "“[He was] born at home in water and surrounded by love, in an instant my heart doubled in size.”

The actress had surprised her Instagram followers earlier in January when she had posted a photo showcasing her baby bump. Reed had openly shared her journey stating that it was the result of "years of dreaming, manifesting, and praying."
