'The View' co-host Sunny Hostin gushes over Sherri Shepherd
Sunny Hostin recalls how Sherri Shepherd renegotiate her pay before joining 'The View'
Sunny Hostin is singing praises of Sherri Shepherd to share awareness with her about fair pay, which made her renegotiate her package at The View.
Speaking to Sherri's show while also promoting her new novel, Summer on Sag Harbor, the 54-year-old said, “I don't even know if you remember this, but when I signed my deal sheet, you gave me a call. I don't know how you got my number."
As Hostin joined in 2016, "You were like, 'I heard you're coming on the show,' and I was like, 'Yeah, I'm joining the show.' She was like, 'Did they give you a car stipend?' I was like, 'No.'"
The legal correspondent said that they checked the deal sheets details on the call.
"You basically went over your salary for the entire time you were there, and you also gave me [ex-View panelist] Jenny McCarthy's salary," after Hostin argued for fair pay, "You got me paid."
Meanwhile, Shepherd revealed her incident when The View-then cohost Rosie O'Donnell helped her to get fair pay when she joined the show in 2007.
"Rosie O'Donnell gave me everybody's salary and hers, and you've got to pay it forward," Shepherd said.
"You've gotta stick together!"
