King Charles may miss his own coronation as he is expected to have a “meltdown” before the ceremony due to the stress that he won't be able to rule the country like his majestic mother, the late Queen Elizabeth II.

A senior palace insider revealed that the new monarch’s “emotional stability” is “hanging on by a thread” as his crowing day gets closer amid ongoing family issues involving his younger son Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle.

Speaking to Radar Online, the senior palace official said there are chances that Charles won’t be able to attend his own coronation as he is very stressed out and may have a breakdown before the event.

"Charles' emotional stability is hanging on by a thread," the insider said. "He's terrified he won't be able to cope with crises that could rip his fledging monarchy to shreds and panic-stricken about following in the footsteps of his majestic mother."

"We worry he'll have a meltdown and won't even be able to attend his coronation,” the source added.

The Royal family especially Charles have been dealing with a number of issues for quite some time now mainly due to Duke and Duchess of Sussex following their explosive Oprah Winfrey interview, Harry’s memoir Spare and their Netflix documentary Harry & Meghan.

Charles even showered signs of "anxiety," including "wringing and clasping" during the royals' Easter service at St. George's Chapel on May 9, the first since Queen’s demise.

The report by the publication also suggested that the father-of-two had an emotional breakdown after he was dubbed an uncaring, abusive father by his own son Harry.

"Charlies is actually very shy and sensitive," the source said, noting that he felt betrayed by Harry and Meghan, "not to mention what he sees as efforts to keep him from his grandchildren Archie and Lilibet."

Insider claimed Charles has been trying "to get a grip on the anger, exhaustion, and feelings of inadequacy triggered by the family war," while warning that it all adds up to a potential “coronation catastrophe.”

"Only Camilla can save the day," the source said. "Against all odds, Camilla got Charles to the altar. You can bet she'll get him to his coronation!"
